The RoHS (Reduction of Hazardous Substances in Electrical and Electronic Equipment) directive is primarily aimed at reducing and removing the hazardous substances in this equipment. The directive will be effective from July 1, 2006. SKF Magnetic has set up a dedicated project group, who will ensure that this deadline is met. SKF Magnetic will be fully compliable to the RoHS directive before the deadline of July 1, 2006.
The WEEE (Waste from Electrical and Electronic Equipment) directive urges any producer of such equipment to provide information on how to reuse and treat the equipment in the best ecologically way possible. The directive is effective since August 13, 2005. The WEEE directive is aimed at all original equipment manufacturers. As a component and system supplier SKF Magnetic is not falling under this description. But as our products in many cases are the only EEE products in the application, we have decided to mark all SKF Magnetic equipment with the mandatory crossed out wheelie bin by the end of October 2005. All products with this mark can be sent back to SKF Magnetic for disposal. We recommend to check carefully if a return of the products is reasonable from an ecological and economical point of view. |

New control unit with high functionality
|
|
01.07.2004
The new Magnetic SKF control unit BCU is a modern mini control unit to operate up to three 24VDC actuators. By means of the individual parameterization of the motor outputs it is possible to connect different types of actuators to the same control unit. This allows very flexible solutions to combine several actuators in a complete system. |
